Meet Jennifer: Benefits Consultant at Maddock & Associates
Jennifer is one of the out-in-the-field faces of Maddock & Associates, helping employers and employees navigate the often-confusing world of employee benefits with patience, clarity, and a very personal approach to service.
Her path into employee benefits began while she was working part time as a customer service representative fora main broker while earning her associate degree in performing arts. She later obtained her insurance license so she could provide more hands-on support and better assist clients with their benefit needs.
Before entering the insurance world, Jennifer spent eight years working as a receptionist for orthopedic surgeons. After having children, she transitioned to medical transcription from home so she could be present while they were growing up. While the work itself was not her favorite, she loved being home with her kids. Once her youngest started school, she began looking for a new opportunity, which eventually led her into customer service, insurance, and the benefits industry.
Jennifer’s approach to client service is rooted in a simple belief: people deserve to feel heard and helped. She knows how frustrating it can be to call for assistance and be met with a phone tree, a pre-recorded message, or unclear options. Because of that, she works hard to serve clients the way she would want to be served if she were in the same situation.
As a Benefits Consultant, Jennifer enjoys helping clients understand their insurance options, solve problems, and feel less overwhelmed by a system that can often feel confusing. She especially values being able to provide customer service in an industry where people sometimes feel ignored or invisible.
Jennifer describes her client relationships as personal and caring. She treats clients the way she would want someone to treat her mom, a family member, or a close friend. One of the strengths she brings to her work is simple but meaningful: she genuinely likes her job, and she genuinely likes helping people.
Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to church, cycling with actual leg power, going to movies and concerts, shopping, walking her dogs, and finding tasty places to eat. She has completed the Seattle to Portland bike ride 11times, and she has also sung at both Benaroya Hall and Carnegie Hall.
At home, Jennifer and her life with two dogs, Sapphire and Dasher, a chinchilla named Nibby, and a cat named Luna. They are proudly considered part of the family, right alongside the human children.
And if you really want to know the way to Jennifer’s heart? Laughter, Chicago-style deep dish pizza from Delfino’s, Reese’s Puffs straight from the box, Cold Stone ice cream, and Nothing Bundt Cakes are a pretty good place to start.
We’re grateful to have Jennifer on the Maddock consultant team and appreciate the warmth, humor, and genuine care she brings to the clients she serves.
