Meet Julia: Benefits Consultant at Maddock & Associates
Julia is one of the out-in-the-field faces of Maddock & Associates, helping employers and employees navigate employee benefits with care, clarity, and a thoughtful understanding of both people and numbers.
Like many professionals in the employee benefits field, Julia first became interested in the industry through family connections. After graduating from college with degrees in Psychology and Human Development, along with a minor in Mathematics, she began thinking about how she could combine her interests into one meaningful career.
Through conversations with family members who worked in the industry and genuinely enjoyed what they did, Julia saw an opportunity to bring together two of her own passions: helping people and working with numbers. Employee benefits offered a professional path where both mattered.
As a Benefits Consultant, Julia understands that insurance can be confusing and, for many people, overwhelming. On the employer side, she is passionate about helping make benefits one area of the business that clients do not have to carry alone. Employers already have a lot to manage, and Julia values being able to provide steady support, clear guidance, and thoughtful service throughout the year.
For employees, Julia recognizes that insurance is often only top of mind when a medical need comes up. Those moments can be stressful, sensitive, and deeply personal. She considers it a privilege to help employees through those situations, and supporting people when they need guidance most is one of the most fulfilling parts of her work.
Outside of work, Julia enjoys spending time with her husband. Together, they like going wine tasting and finding home renovation projects to take on. They also recently welcomed a son, and stepping into parenthood together has been a joyful new chapter for their family.
At home, Julia and her family share life with Maverick, their three-year-old dog, who has become the best little buddy to their precious baby.
