Aydan is one of the out-in-the-field faces of Maddock & Associates, helping employers and employees navigate employee benefits with care, responsiveness, and a strong commitment to client service.
His path into employee benefits and insurance began through family. Aydan’s dad worked in insurance and helped show him the ropes after he graduated from college. Having that guidance early on made the industry feel like a natural professional path and gave Aydan a strong foundation as he began building his own career.
Before joining Maddock, Aydan built a well rounded background in sales, commercial banking, and customer service. With a Finance degree from Gonzaga University, he has always had a natural love for numbers, something that translates well into the world of medical benefits. He worked in sales selling kitchenware, completed a commercial banking internship, and spent more than five years serving in a restaurant on the side. That restaurant experience, in particular, taught him lessons he still carries into his work today.
Aydan’s background has shaped the way he serves clients. His time in the restaurant industry and previous sales roles taught him how to focus on the person in front of him, listen closely, and put others’ needs first. Growing up playing baseball and football also made a lasting impact. Being part of a team taught him how to build trust, connect with people, and work together toward a common goal.
He brings that same team-first mentality into his role as a Benefits Consultant. Now, the common goal is helping clients feel well-supported, informed, and confident in their benefits decisions.
Aydan also credits his time at Gonzaga with helping him develop strong problem-solving skills and the ability to get things done. Those skills are especially important when working through complex benefits situations, whether that means helping a group compare plan options, supporting an employee with a benefits question, or assisting with a claims issue.
As a Benefits Consultant, Aydan enjoys helping groups find plans that align with their company’s specific goals. He also takes pride in providing exceptional service throughout the year. Whether he is educating employees on their benefits, helping navigate a claims concern, or simply responding when a client reaches out, Aydan finds satisfaction in knowing his clients are being well cared for.
One of his favorite parts of helping employers and employees is making sure every client receives the same level of service and attention, regardless of company size. That consistency matters to him. He enjoys being a helping hand and making sure people understand their benefits and know how to get the most out of them.
Aydan describes client relationships as one of the most important parts of his job. He understands how much it matters for clients to feel a genuine connection with the person helping them navigate employee benefits. Building trust, being responsive, and being someone clients can count on are all central to his approach.
